Meet The Team
Following her graduation from Duke University, Carla Sevilla started in residential real estate in 2001 while serving in the United States Marine Corps. She assisted her fellow officers in finding their new homes while stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. Following her service, including a year during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Carla decided to pursue her true passion in real estate full time. She entered the UNC-CH MBA program on a full fellowship and decided to concentrate in real estate development and marketing. During this time she co-founded Chanticleer Properties with Phil and Margaret Hinesley. Throughout her time at UNC-CH she sold to her fellow MBA students at both Duke and Chapel Hill and then began to focus on other graduate students that wanted a new home.
Carla was recruited to join Centex Homes, now part of PulteGroup and manage their CityGroup operation in the DC Metro area. She quickly earned the respect and drove great results for the division who named her the 2008 Employee of the Year. Carla was then promoted to the Vice President of Sales position in North Carolina where she earned the 2009 Chairman’s Award and sat on the Leadership Development Council. Carla worked closely with the division leadership to maintain an above average sales pace that grew PulteGroup’s market share in the Triangle year after year. When she departed PulteGroup in 2012, the division sold and closed almost 600 homes- over twice the amount of the next national builder in the market. Carla as the unique experience to represent clients that are looking for a new home – she knows what motivates builders and how you can get the best deal on your next purchase. In addition, she works closely with her investor clients looking to make above average returns on their residential real estate portfolio.
Dwayne is the Sales Manager for our new construction communities but also specializes as buyer agent and listing agent in general brokerage. He graduated from NC State University with a BA in Public Relations & Marketing. Upon graduation Dwayne worked as the Marketing/PR director for several companies before jumping head first into the exciting career of real estate.
Through his many years in the service industry, he knows how to deduce your needs in a new house and match you with your “forever home.” He’s creative and clever on the marketing of his listing and has a proven track record of selling his properties quickly and smoothly. He’ll project manager everything from start to finish and successfully guide you through the tricky but exciting process of buyer or selling a house.
